This is just an example to show that this kind of G+ data export could be used as a real, live copy of G+ and not just a "read-only" archive.

Final Layout?

I'm still playing with the header art work but believe this may be the final layout. I've 'designed' it to show as much content "above the break" as possible and thereby reduce the amount of scrolling needed. It will show the 50 newest posts before showing the "Older Posts" button at the bottom and in the left archive sidebar will show each post Title Link as a single line.

I've updated the G+ migration tool to display all posts & comments (not just previews), very similar to the behaviour in G+.

Other updates:
- The migration script has been updated to migrate more content in less time
- You receive an email at the end of the migration with the number of posts retrieved
- In the web app, a notification is displayed when you reach the bottom of the page and it starts to load more posts.

Don't want to lose the valuable content you have created in Google+?
Here's a tutorial to export all data from a G+ community and display it via Firebase.
Example with the Google Apps Script community:

If you are not satisfied by the exports available via Google Takeout, don't hesitate to try this solution - it should take you 15 min to trigger the export and you don't need to install anything on your computer. Plus it's free.

Note that this method uses the Google+ API, which will start failing as soon as January 28, 2019. So I would advise to try to export your data before this date.

Also note that you can use this tutorial to export all your posts - it is not specifically restricted to a community. Here's an example with my own profile:

Request for Clarifications from Google on the Google+ Shutdown

I have developed a backchannel for getting feedback to the Google+ development team and am working with an informal team of volunteers to improve the flow of communications on Google+ shutdown priorities. This is the first public post regarding that process.

Our first priority -- and the focus of this post -- is getting clarification on a number of open issues having to do with the shutdown. Next up will be a focus on specific feature requests to improve Takeout and the resulting exported Google+ data. After that, we will turn to specific bugs that people are experiencing with Google+ Takeout data.

Your Feedback:
The Google Doc document linked to at the bottom of this post outlines a number of open questions for Google on the Google+ shutdown process as well as Google+ Takeout data. Please review it. If, after reading it, you have additional questions that you believe would benefit the broader Google+ community, please feel free to add that in a comment here.

How to clear all those old emails out of Gmail inbox ...

I haven't tried this method but I find it interesting.  Hoping other members will find value in the article. Yes, I need to clean out my Gmail.  It just needs to be done. Let me know in comments if you try some of the steps and it works for you.

I haven't played here much at all but I have to say I like the clean look and I like that it's not so busy.  I admit I like words better than GIFS and memes so just my personal preference.  Wasn't sure how to label this post so I didn't.  Hoping if I need to, I can go back and label properly when I learn more.

I do like the Editor 😊 and the selection of emojis and characters and the Preview option. I did have to figure out how to get back to the comment after Preview.  Note:  The preview opens in a new window/tab so all you need do is go to the previous tab to the original comment.  Yay!

Top paragraph is right justified and the second paragraph is centered.  This paragraph is a different font. This is cool.  Thanks, Andrew for offering this platform as an option for our new U2U home!

Oh look, Spell Check is the last icon on the editor.  Yes!  Click it and it highlights the incorrect word.  Click again and the highlight goes away.
