you can +mention people not in your circles, and not suggested, if you know their google id number. A user's id number is usually in their url, or can be obtained by right clicking on a link to their profile.
Peggy K thanks for the clarification. I managed to see that if I went to the user's profile I could copy the trailing number in the URL. However, if I found their profile, why would I need it? The "right click" thing is what I couldn't manage to find.

ReplyDeleteJohn Brown if they have a custom URL, then the number doesn't display in the address bar. So in that case you need to to the right click option.
