Since the old Google+ interface was removed, forcing everyone onto the newer one, I noticed that Blogger no longer presents your communities (ones you're a member of) when sharing a new blog post. It only shows people and your person categories. What's the recommended method of sharing to a community now?

  1. Tony Proctor - I did a blog post that I shared with my community in the new Google+. I haven't had a problem. I just start by typing my community name. I don't think I just the "+ " sign as I would for a person.

  2. I don't understand what's happening Russ. When I hit the share button on a blog post, I get a list showing just Public (default), and my Circles. I can add explicit people using "+" (or "@") but it's no longer helping me with Communities.

  3. Ah, I see that you're doing it from the Google+  window. I'm doing this from my Blogger dashboard. Looks like something there is broken.

  4. Yes, I get my blog post into G+ or YouTube, then to my Community. Because I am video blogging most of the time, I am getting to my community from YouTube. But that screen capture was from G+ not Blogger

  5. Tony Proctor what happens if you click the G+1 button on the Blogger blog post itself? Was posting to a Community there before? I notice it still uses the Classic post window, which may be in the process of being updated.

  6. I get exactly the same list, Peggy: Public, my Circles, and my Collections (missed that last time), but no Communities.

  7. Tony Proctor - Got a question for you. When you tried to Share with a Community, did you click on the Public (blue) word to the right of your Name? I just Shared your RootsTech Blog post with the DearMYRTLE Community, and realized that I, by habit, clicked on Public for my list of communities. I don't have collections, so i wouldn't see them.

    Thanks,

    Russ

  8. Tony Proctor  FWIW I can see the same thing: the G+ button on Blogger pops up a Classic post window, and that just goes blank if I try to switch the audience to a Community.

No, I didn't do it that way Russ.

That is the same problem Peggy. I searched but didn't find that one. The list is empty for quite a while, but eventually populates with everything except the Communities.

I went to your Blog and see what you are talking about. It gives you faintly who you can Share the Blog post with. A Google+ Community is not one of the options.

If you mean the "G+1" button then that shows the same restricted list, Russ. I haven't changed anything on my blog so something must be broken.
