Has anyone tried WIRECAST to be able to switch between multiple cameras/mics on the same computer during a Hangout?

Has anyone tried WIRECAST to be able to switch between multiple cameras/mics on the same computer during a Hangout? Any idea whether Chromebook 2 Samsung will have enough muscle to run this? THANKS!

  1. Thanks Craig! I'm going to simplify things for this coming event.

  2. Craig Long I've not had any luck getting my 1080i camera into a Hangout on Air because the resolution exceeds that of the Hangout 720 threshold. While the Livewedge switcher you linked to can "downscale" output to 720, one would still need a way to get its HDMI output into the host machine (like the other link you provided the Magewell dongle.)  Perhaps Andrew Hatchett or another chromebook user can suggest how external HDMI cameras can be integrated into the Chromebook.  None of the reviews of the Magewell I've seen mention chromebooks.

  3. John Brown Yeah I think Chromebooks are used when you want to keep everything simple anyway.
