Hi to all the Aussie G+'ers and more especially to those interested;

to ask for a bit of help regarding learning, practicing and doing HOA's and SHOAE's  within or close to the Australian [when I'm awake] timezones. 

My goal is to become proficient in doing a Mobile HOA (Private) of my daughter's wedding at the beginning of November for people in the groom's family who couldn't travel from Ireland to Australia to be a part of the celebrations.

Some of you will know me on Google+ already and maybe particularly as a member of Ronnie Bincer's Hangout Mastery community. I've heard User2User mentioned a lot and always with great affection.

For those who don't know, I am based in the UK in Bournemouth, on the sunny south coast of England (about halfway along the bottom of the UK map triangle). I jointly own and run a digital marketing company and have done so for the last 7 years. In my spare time, apart from being with my wife Linda of 30 years and 3 children, I am a big fan of my local football (soccer) team, AFC Bournemouth.

I have been active on Google+ since November last year and like most of us I have grown to really like it here. For me, there is nowhere like it. and it is the closest I have seen of the character of offline networking in an online world.

Hangouts on Air are my next dive into the Plus and recently began The Great British Hangout with Kath Dawson. We've been having a lot of fun and learning so much. It's great to be here with so many HOAers.

Can someone explain why the times are showing the wrong times for the events in this screen capture? The first is supposed to start at 9PM Central and the second is to start at 9AM.

I do not see this available on the Practice Hangout I have set up today.  (attached link) 

Below is the information for the practice hangout you are helping us with today.  Live HO is July 19 Sat at noon CDT, so we have time to workout any kinks.

There are 3 JV promoting, but I am hosting and Joseph is featured speaker with program to sell at the end.  My web master Stacy will be on the call also, to find out more about embedding on websites and things.

Here is the things I want to make sure I know how to do properly:
1.  Have all JV partners say HI and then disappear from filmstrip at bottom?
2.  Have 80% slides and 20% Joseph?  How to load slides and when?
3.  Have filmstrip at bottom of me, or Joseph ... automatically switches when you talk is what I have noticed.
4.  Set up  Pre-event so listeners can comment and ask questions before event.
5.  When can I drop the pdf shared files in unified chat for all to share during program / and can then download to their computer?
6.  Do I need to validate viewers and participants ahead of time?  I signed up as test, and never received any email when I registered that I was registered.
7.  Set up as Brenni Larson profile, or should I do a PAGE for the event?  I don't want it on my Feng Shui Q & A page (that I use for all the other HO I've done so far).

Following the success of last year, the Google+ and reddit Chrome OS communities will be jointly hosting a chat room on IRC for all our fellow Chrome OS enthusiasts. Think of it as one big party, and you're all invited.

We've picked IRC because it is a neutral platform that is better suited for real-time discussion than either Google+ or reddit truly is. It's also super easy to use, doesn't require the creation of new accounts, and will work on Chrome devices with ease.

Speaking of the "ease" aspect, if you're new to IRC we've compiled a getting started document that offers you the choice of installing a Chrome Packaged App, or connecting directly from a browser tab using a web version. Either way, your Chrome device will be a portal to the party.

Hello everyone!
I found this community thorough some people I met in the PYB commuity. and now that I'm here i see some other familiar faces as well.
My brief story - I started looking at using Hangouts for one of my online business I was starting. So I wanted to learn everything i could about the techy stuff and the marketing ideas. 
I joined a Hangout Marketing Challenge and found I had a flare for the tech stuff and from that i have had a lot of requests to help out on HOA etc. This inturned has spurred what I thought was going to be a useful tool into a side business adn now maybe even a full fledged Video Production business.  Although,  most of the techy stuff is easy for me there is always new stuff to learn and I like to keep on the cutting edge so that is why I joined this community - to stay informed and find out what others are doing. And to help out when I can.

I came across this community looking for #hangoutsonair and found +michael Daniels User2User Interactive Wednesday 6.18.2014 post. I'm listening to right now.   

 I am always looking to network, to help and to share great content with my communities, groups and networks i'm part of. 

I'm not a business. but currently to building both free and eventually paid professional community where people will connect through to find help with their needs.  Based on Family, Business and Gaming.
Social media people use but don't understand so I try to help others with the basics. I am also a Christian, Supporter of Israel, Social media is great for opening doors for those who have Autism as I do and others with disabilities.   

Eventually I would like to build a new Social network based on Family Business and Gaming.

I generally like to use a low cost setup for Hangouts on Air... my goal is to keep the barrier to entry in Live Broadcast as low as possible. I want any goofball in the world to have a shot at producing great content, even if they can't afford all "the best" gear.

This, however, is a shopping list where I ignore costs... these are things I'd like to have to raise the bar a bit and make some of the tricks a little easier to pull off. Still, most of it is lower-cost as compared to the high-end versions of similar equipment.

Anyway, it's really just dreamin', as I've got what I've got and don't have a budget for more fun stuff at the moment.

The links didn't work today.  I have set up the hangouts ahead of time and post the "join" link for the listeners.  Today the participant said she didn't get the invite.  The listeners stayed on that hangout even though I couldn't get back on it.

Hello everyone.

Hello everyone.
I started focusing on Internet Marketing about a year ago and what a ride it has been.
I've been in constant "learn mode" and I've just gotten to the point where I feel comfortable enough to really start putting together a strategy that I believe can eventually start earning myself an income.
I've gone through the information overload frustrations and everything else that coincides with "newbie mistakes".
I became interested in the possibility of using HOA when I was introduced to Ronnie Bincer. I enrolled in his training course and learned a lot and now I want to take my skills to the next level.
I believe this community will help achieve that goal and look forward to listening and learning from everyone here.
Hopefully I will also be able to offer value as well.

Great to meet everyone!  I'm a marketing innovation expert launching a new HOA show called "Your ROI Report."  It's an interview show with entrepreneurs and small business owners to showcase the 4 ways they create a return-on-investment for their clients and you can too. When Andrew Hatchett told me that the Logitech C930 camara had Mac software and the c920 did not, it occurred to me...

When Andrew Hatchett told me that the Logitech C930 camara had Mac software and the c920 did not, it occurred to me that my Logitech Windows software worked across my several Logitech cameras.  So, I downloaded the C930 mac software, installed it and plugged in my C920.  Bingo!  Camera control on the mac for the C920.

My Hangout Window was Closed Automatically by a New Timer
Apparently, if you have a Hangout Video Call window open but are not doing anything with it, then you'll see this timer/warning dialog.
Quite a while back we had a different looking warning for inactivity when in a Hangout Video Call (and that seemed to go away)... this one just showed up today for me.

Maybe it has been around for a while and I just did not notice since I don't normally sit in a Hangout window without doing anything.

It makes a gameshow type clicking sound, and tries to draw your attention to the window... if you don't click the Yes button, then I have seen it close 1 minute after the first alert which seems to come at about 4 minutes (so you've got 5 minutes to respond).

Does this apply to a HOA? My results were from a Hangout Video Call (HVC) not a Hangout on Air (HOA) window.

I wonder how this will affect multiple computers being used as separate cameras in a HOA broadcast... will they need to have some mouse movement on occasion to keep them viable as a 'camera'?

I presently have a Logitech c525 on a PC running Vista. Today I acquired a Logitech c920 to replace the c525. Before trying to install the c920 should I delete the software associated with the c525 or will it simply be overwritten when I install the c920?
