New Problem:  When I am logged in as my G+ profile everything is loading slow and i mean slow. I get the blue spinning ball next to my curser etc.

 I disabled most of my extensions, had my computer guy do a remote scan of my computer and his advice is to start a new profile  NOT!!!  

I was on a Hangout Video Call the other day doing a slide share and the other person was saying that my computer was so slow and things were not loading.  I have a really fast computer!

 Anyone else ever have an issue with their Google profile creating these kinds of problems of slow loading.

I have a webinar for a number of clients happening today at 4 PM. I normally use GoToMeeting. Works well. I've really wanted to force myself to learn and use HaA because I use Google Apps all the time for everything else. In fact my webinar is about using Google Drive. 

Here is my dilemma. 

I created an HoA event and invited a number of clients. 

1. Yet when I do a few practice rounds (test) it seems confusing for the end user. 

2. I had an employee try it out. I clicked to start the Broadcast and waited for him to join. He could not join until I started recording. 

3. Also it wanted me to invite people to join, when I already did this in my initial invitation. These seemed confusing to end user.

4. When my employee final did see me (once I went "on air) he said there was a real delay when viewing my screen. I had just tested GoToMeeting a few minutes before this and the screen share was perfect. Most of the time I've tried HOA, there is a delay for sharing a screen. I've done several test with a hardwired Internet connect and there is still a delay. If someone pops into an HoA, they are delayed and not seeing me live.

So I guess my question is...1) how can I make sure it is easy for people to join my meeting on Thursday when it is time and 2) How can I make sure there is no delay in showing my screen. 3) How do folks joining the call show their faces (video). 4) When creating the time, for a 45 minute webinar, it creates a 4 hour and 45 minute duration. I've tried a dozen times to make the webinar 45 minutes.

Yvi and I are doing a show soon on logos - the good, the bad and the ugly and what you should consider when you create your branding.

We need 5 logos for the show that we can, well, tear apart respectfully and make suggestions. We could find random logos, but that is mean.

looking for recommendations  I have a small samsung chromebook and a large screen imac but want to get myself a larger screen chromebook so that I have more flexibility when working and also more speed too.

The new chromebook will be used everyday for my work (I dont need downloadable programmes so no need to buy a macbook or windows laptop now) and also for professional training and TV shows using hangouts, so needs to have a good speed and also a decent size display

Looking for a solution: We have had three HOAs, where one or two people, on the Panel (in the Filmstrip) could NOT hear another panelist. Totally Weird. The solution was to REFRESH the browser.

Also, twice, my lower 3rd would not show up, even when it was turned on. The Beta Comment Tracker comments wouldn't show up either. Again, REFRESH resolved this.

Any clues ? or is anyone else having these issues? Browser, not platform (Mac / PC) didn't matter. One person in our community suggested an update to Chrome, but we had other browsers with the sound issue.

I have other cameras I can use if this it spotty although, from my end, it looks like the built-in video camera was working as well as the 920 and other attachable camera I have (I just switched to the 920). Today I got a call from the head of the EPA water innovation clusters and she wants me to come out to Pittsburgh to provide online access to their meeting of cluster leaders! WOO HOO! John Brown Andrew Hatchett hopefully I can test some of the tweaks we discussed last night after last week's online participation.  I may be able to bring people into the filmstrip this time, and I'll moderate their networking and workshopping with each other during the breaks and breakouts, and/or bring over speakers to talk with the online folks. I already received the presentations in dropbox and they are all in PDF - do I need to do anything to a PDF to save it on a google drive if I do this on the Chromebook? Or do I have to have the presentations on a different computer and call that into the Hangout separately?

Just wanted to extend an invite to this Hangout on Air which we are hosting this April 24th. It is a presentation in a conference setting so it should be fun. We ran some tests on Monday and the connection was great.  The only drawback is that it will be in Italian with no English translation.

There was a post about updates in G+ that impact HOAs - do I need to download those updates on each computer I'm using (I was going to call in on at least 2 different computers with 2 different G+ accounts).  If I need any support while setting up tomorrow morning at about 7:30 am EDT, will anyone be available here?  Probably not the West Coast folks (nor John Brown in Hawaii!). I have 2 questions:

1) Does anyone do #HOAs or YouTube Live on the go? I am getting ready to be on the road for 2 months, and am trying to figure out what this could look like, and how interactive it would be. [Michael Daniels - I believe you mentioned using your phone for baseball games?]

2) This may be off-topic, but I sure would appreciate help from tech-savvy people. Can you let me know if the PayPal Add to Cart button works for you? I've had a comment that it didn't work, and think I fixed it.  But this seems to be challenging to check myself. (NO purchase necessary - please just let me know if it seems to be working for you.)

Google Apps Vault is now fully compatible with Hangouts conversations, which means that you can retain, search for, and place holds on all Hangouts conversations with history turned on. Please note that support applies only to Hangouts conversations that occurred after this feature launched on April 8, 2015.

Can anyone decipher this for me please with regard to the difference between hangouts and hangout conversations. I use Google Hangouts for clinical, private sessions and as such I need to ensure the privacy for a number of requirements.

I use Google Vault for email etc but don't understand at this time how this will work for Hangouts and which aspects of Hangouts this will currently apply to

As some may have noticed there are now 2 Hangout Toolbox Apps available when in a HOA. The new one has, imho, a more attractive interface. The new one does not automatically transfer old Lower Thirds or custom overlays at this time. 

One interesting aspect is that both the old and new Hangout Toolbox apps can, at least for now, be used at the same time.

In the picture below the Lower Third in yellow came from the old Toolbox while the pink 'Upper Third' (for lack of a better name) came from the new Toolbox.

Hi, Brain Trust.

Hi, Brain Trust. My next guest on CHANGES HOA is using Windows XP on a wireless laptop connection. I did a practice with him today and it was awful:
1) the audio had a lot of interference/extra noises
2) every time he moved, there was a blurring
3) the image was blurry even when he stayed still
4) the image and audio were jerky and kept stopping, almost crashing, then resuming

I asked him please to arrange for a wired connection between now and Tuesday and we could test it again (Show is Wed. AM CDT). Will that fix it?
